I'm a 30-something year old wife and mother of three wonderful boys. After many years of emotional & mental issues, medication issues and (obviously) food issues, I have ended up overweight and tired all the time. Knowing my illnesses will not get better if I don't become healthier I had decided to start the long journey to Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) to better myself. I want to be the fun, healthy mom... and dare I say it?... the 'hot mom' & wife. Here's my journey before and after my gastric bypass surgery, along with some recipes.

Un-stalled.... for now

Well, I have broken my stall, once again.
I am officially down 82 lbs.
Yay!!

Now, if only I can get through Halloween without wanting to eat EVERY SINGLE Kit-Kat!

Speaking of sweets - - my dr suggested I eat spoonfuls of peanut butter in order to get my sweet-fix and get my caloric intake up, since it was so low.  I used to LOVE peanut butter, but for some reason, I couldn't keep it down.  It'd make me gag, or it'd come back up.  Sad face!!

However, I have found a new-ish product at Walmart (also at HyVee, but a dollar more expensive, ew!) called Skippy BP Bites.  They are DELICIOUS and totally take care of my sugar cravings.  I only need about 4 small balls and I'm good to go, so the whole tub lasts me a bit over 2 weeks.  After I found these - I stock up on them, in fear that they'll stop selling them, since it's a new product you never can tell when they'll stop carrying it.  Way to keep me on pins-and-needles WalMart!

Anyhoo - - if you need a healthier alternative to candy or chocolate bars, try the BP Bites, they are super yummy and not horrible for you!  (They also have pretzel ones, but I don't buy those.)

Well... Loving my 82 lbs and peanut butter balls...
Take care my friends!
